Veil: Silent Reckoning is a third-person stealth-action thriller set in a dystopian near future where an AI-driven organization secretly governs global perception. Players embody Layla Varin, a former intelligence operative turned rogue infiltrator, who must dismantle The Veil’s memory-manipulation network through high-risk espionage. Designed as a sandbox infiltration experience, the game emphasizes multiple paths to conflits, systemic stealth mechanics and moral player choices that shape both the ending and the narrative tone.

Responsibilities

  • Created light/shadow stealth meter, sound radius visualization and adaptive AI suspicion mechanics.
  • Designed sandbox-style missions with multiple infiltration routes (verticality, disguises, Area hiding)
  • Developed zip lines, vents, ledge climbs mechanics to empower diverse playstyles.
  • Structured branching story arcs where player choices define Layla’s fate (expose truth, dismantle Veil, or merge with it.
  • Integrated non-verbal cues (AI suspicion, audio distortions, environmental shifts) to tell story
  • Implemented EQS-driven patrols and reactive suspicion systems where enemies adapt to player trickery.

Game Narrative

Inspired from the Mission Impossible and James Bones movies, Framed for treason after uncovering a plot to implant false memories into the global population, Called as the last resort by the Goverment, Layla Varin is forced into hiding. Alone and hunted, she strikes from the shadows, infiltrating The Veil’s strongholds hidden in forests, subways, skyscrapers even under ground bunkers.

With each mission, the truth behind The Veil’s control comes into focus. But as Layla closes in on the heart of the conspiracy, she’s faced with a final decision one that could change everything…
